Cheetah Motors officially introduced its hypercar in the International Conference Hall of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade. The name of this vehicle is a handcrafted LaFerrari Aperta. This car is considered the first creation of Cheetah Motors. The company was established in 2019 to design and manufacture super sports cars.
This vehicle is regarded as the world’s first successful redesign of the LaFerrari Aperta and is very similar to the original model. Over a thousand parts have been designed and manufactured according to international automotive standards to form this handcrafted LaFerrari.
The Six-member team at Cheetah Motors was able to build this LaFerrari Aperta by paying complete attention to design details. The chassis system of this car has been designed and produced in an independent project, and the chassis has been analyzed and studied in several different phases. All fundamental factors in chassis design, including bending, twisting, breaking ratio, etc., have been examined using the most advanced design software.
Advanced LS-DYNA software has also been used to maintain chassis stability in case of accidents. Two independent frames have been employed on the front and rear of the chassis to support body strength and ensure safety in traffic a
ccidents. Two independent shock absorber assemblies have been installed behind the front and rear bumpers.
It is worth mentioning that this project has been developed with a maximum level of localization. For example, the car’s rear lights and hexagonal grilles at the rear and front are made by Cheetah Motors. The car body is made of carbon fiber, and its retractable roof design is similar to the original model. Additionally, the air intakes have been designed in this car in the same way as the original model. All internal components, including seats, seatbelts, center console, and all buttons, have been manufactured by this Iranian company according to the original model.
Cheetah Motors has announced that the handcrafted LaFerrari Aperta is currently using the VQ30DE six-cylinder engine with a displacement of 3000 cc due to restrictions on obtaining a license. Preliminary actions for importing a dedicated engine for this platform (mid-engine) with a power of 600 horsepower are also underway.
The Cheetah CH1 project consists of five main sections: designing and modeling the body and interior, designing and building a Space Frame chassis system with independent suspension on both axles, designing and building a dedicated electronic system, designing and building a high–quality digital display similar to the original model, and designing and building an active aerodynamic system.
